Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Be the primary point of contact and build long term relationships with customers
  2. Comply with procedures and systems outlined in the Operations Standard Operating Procedures
  3. Monitor customer activity and alert the operations manager if volume declines below normal
  4. Must adhere to HIPAA guidelines by following company policies and procedure
  5. Process customer requests to retrieve information from providers via fax or phone based on company guidelines
  6. Make follow up calls on open requests and document request updates in the system
  7. Review any records received to ensure all information is complete and accurate
  8. Addresses any customer service issues and escalate as needed
  9. Prioritize work to support customer needs and company goals
  10. Maintain a work in an environment which fosters ideas for improvements to procedures, workflows and processes
  11. Ensure exceptional customer service is being delivered
  12. Adhere to any additional requests of the customer and supervisor

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or GED required (AAS degree in related field preferred)
  2. Customer service experience or medical records background
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  4. Proficiency in PC applications including MS Office
  5. Keen attention to detail to complete tasks accurately
  6. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  7. Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively to meet customer deadlines
  8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to deal with change
  9. Willingness to work a flexible schedule if needed
